RIVER SOUNDSCAPE

River Soundscape is an audio-tactile installation that seeks to expose the constructedness of our ideas of landscape by re-contextualizing elements found in a nature scene: water from the river through its absence in an empty mason jar and imported decorative rocks. By touching the jar and moving the rocks the piece invites to an immersion in a sonic scenery of water composed of delays, flangings, reverbs and low frequencies of mixed sound coming from contact microphones as well as computer generated ones.
